As many as 93 people have fallen ill after attending a wedding feast in Chitwan. The guests reportedly showed symptoms of illness shortly after consuming food at a local wedding ceremony held in the district.

Details of the Incident: A few hours after the feast, participants began experiencing symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and high fever. As the number of affected individuals rose rapidly, they were immediately rushed to local clinics and various health institutions in Bharatpur for medical attention.

Current Health Status: While around 50 of the patients are reported to be in stable condition, others remain under medical supervision at hospitals. According to medical professionals, preliminary findings suggest a severe case of food poisoning. Health workers stated that such issues often arise during the summer season due to contaminated food or water.

Administrative Action: Following the incident, local authorities have collected samples of the food and water used during the feast for laboratory testing. Inquiries are also being made with the wedding organizers and the catering service involved to determine the exact cause of the contamination.
