The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association fixed the price of gold at Rs 294,500 per tola on Friday, a drop of Rs 7,800 from the previous day's Rs 302,300, pushing it below the Rs 300,000 threshold.

Silver also declined, falling by Rs 115 per tola to Rs 4,895 from Rs 5,010 the day before.

Gold and silver had reached all-time highs on Magh 15, when gold was priced at Rs 339,300 per tola and silver at Rs 7,505. Since that peak, gold has dropped by approximately Rs 45,000 per tola.

Retail buyers and jewellers often watch these swings alongside global spot prices and currency movements; daily association rates remain the reference for most local transactions.
